Changde People's Procuratorate and Changde Women's Federation recently held a joint conference, during which the organizations' cadres discussed ways to strengthen their cooperation to better protect the legal rights and interests of women and children in Changde, a city in Central China's Hunan Province.
Cadres with the procuratorate and the federation discussed ways to resolve problems that affect the protection of women and children's rights and interests. The cadres also discussed ways to strengthen work related to combating domestic violence, promoting implementation of the revised Law on the Protection of Rights and Interests of Women (which took effect on January 1, 2023), and improving legal services for minors (in Changde).
The procuratorate and the federation plan to establish a service system, under which the organizations' cadres will work together to solve cases involving infringement of women and children's rights and/or interests, and to provide legal assistance to the women and children involved in the cases.
